Dear sir,

I am hoping to find writings of any Christian authors, prior to 1800, that teach dispensationalism, or, more specifically, the pre-tribulational rapture of the Church.

Hello,
I grew up in an exclusive brethren family and group which was distinguished by their doctrine of "no divorce and remarriage".

My 87 year old father says he thinks the split on that issue was around 1900.
Do you have any information as to which brethren group split on this issue, or did it happen more than once, and when?

I am thrilled to find your site. You have really done a terrific job.

I attended a meeting in Dallas, TX for years but have since moved to OK. I haven't found a meeting as yet and so am taking my family to a local bible church. I'm looking forward to locating an assembly here.

I don't know to what you refer when you speak of a special falling away of some kind that began specifically in 1959. Would you please reply to to mlbrownATlucent.com with information on it?

I'm in a period where besides the Word itself, I'm reading the ministry of the brethren from the 19th century only.

I have been most helped by what little I can get my hands on by J. B. Stoney, and by Wm. Lincoln.
I have already read quite a bit of Bellett and Kelly.

Dear brother Gordon,
Thank you so much for your message of encouragement and your invitation to visit your site.

It is a fine site indeed and I am sure much hard work has gone into it.
This will no doubt prove a great blessing for those who were caught up in the system, and provide much needed help to so many.
By the grace of God I have never had to experience anything similar, but as an outsider I have experienced much love, support and understanding principally from a company of 'outs' in Edinburgh where I was privileged to be in fellowship for two years.
It has been my experience that often dear brethren such as these are marked by much warmth and much depth. Long may that continue to be the case.

I shall certainly not hesitate to let others know of this site, although it has already been interesting to see several names appearing in the guest/mailroom that I know.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to think that everyone who visits this site would be a 'known' one?

Many thanks for wonderful site. What do you think of Neatby's history?

Also I think you are a little hard on our brother Miles Stanford. He has lovingly and patiently picked up the pieces of many a "brethren" wreck such as myself and others. I would have never been exposed to the great ministry of JB Stoney and others were it not for MJS (in our group JBS and others were "too subjective") also his own writings on Christian life and other areas are superb.

Could you also explain "subjective" and "objective" school. After being in meetings for a while this is self-explanatory but would like to hear your views.

What meeting are you with today? I was with Kelly-Booth-Glanton and etc.

Dear Gordon,
I stumbled upon your website today and noticed the initials "F.E.R." (Raven).

A couple of years ago I obtained a copy of a book that is in good condition at a library sale with the title "Notes of Lectures" by F.E.R., Vol III.
The table of contents are...
Deliverance and its End
1. From Sin and the World
2. From the Flesh
3. Association with Christ
It was published in 1895 by "G. Morrish, 20, Paternoster Square".
I have enjoyed the book, but the author has been a mystery to me until (MAYBE!) now.
Is the "F.E.R." shown as the author of this book F. E. Raven who you have a biography of on your website?
