INTRODUCTION  TO  THE  STUDIES
"Strive diligently to present thyself approved to God, a workman that has not to be ashamed, cutting in a straight line the word of truth", 2 Timothy 2: 15.

Most of the studies on this page are from various booklets – of the 'Word of Truth' series – which I wrote some years ago for private circulation. They are intended to be a positive help to my brethren, of whatever persuasion.

My convictions and, what I believe are, their Scriptural grounds have been stated honestly, openly and definitely – but without ill-feeling.

• If you disagree with any statements, please consider them. Don't reject them simply because they may be new to you or different from what you have accepted.

• I have no desire to offend any of my brethren in anything I have said, and I will be happy to hear from, and reply to, any – who agree or disagree – but decline entering into unbrotherly controversy.

The Local Notes were written by Jeff Kuns – MB's Editor simce April 2003 – who lives in Northern California.

• Those familiar with the ministry on 'My Brethren' will recognise its influence in Jeff's notes.

ANSWERS  TO  INQUIRIES  – INTRODUCTION

In this day of almost universal apathy, it is encouraging and refreshing when young people make inquiry – or raise questions – as to the Scriptural teaching on various matters.

The correspondence is being made available with the desire that God, in His goodness, may use it to:

• help any believers, especially those young in the faith, in their personal exercises as to the truth;

• encourage a prayerful and objective searching of the Scriptures, free from bias and presuppositions;

• dispel some misconceptions and prejudices;

• stimulate a revival of devotion to the Lord Jesus and care for the assembly, His chief interest on earth.
