This index is a revision of one compiled for personal use with the 1962 edition of Hymns and Spiritual Songs for the Little Flock. It was prepared particularly for the help of those who use the 1993 Supplement along with the 1973 Hymn Book.

The Sufferings of Christ

322 "Behold the Man!" O blessèd Lord,
318 For us, O Lord, Thou camest from on high,
302 Gazing on Thee, Lord, in glory,
124 Jesus, our Lord, Thou Morning Star,
227 Lord, e'en to death Thy love could go,
251 Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour Thou,
  99 Lord Jesus, Thou by whom the worlds were made,
  77 Lord, we love to trace Thy footprints
298 Lord, we treasure with affection
All Thy path of sorrow here,
189 O Lord, amid corruption,
Where hatred did abound,
268 O Lord, Thy face was set, Set steadfastly,
190 O Lord, Thy wondrous story
Our inmost soul doth move,
230 O Lord, when we the path retrace
Which Thou on earth hast trod,
263 Thy death, O Lord, and sorrow
Have told Thy love divine
417 Thy head once full of bruises,
  46 To Thee, O Lord, we bring our note of praise,
188 We see Thee, Lord of glory,
Descending from above,
235 We'll praise Thee, glorious Lord,
Who died to set us free;

The Glories of Christ

   9 All hail the power of Jesus' Name!
451 Behold the Lamb, with glory crowned!
371 Brightness of th'eternal glory,
369 Christ is risen! Hallelujah!
409 Come, let us raise our joyful songs,
525 Come let us sing the matchless worth,
532 Glory, honour, praise and power,
Be unto the Lamb for ever!
395 Great Captain of salvation,
Now crowned with highest glory,
  28 Hail! Thou once despisèd Jesus;
  24 His be the Victor's name,
Who fought the fight alone;
422 Jesus, Lord, we joy before Thee,
Sorrow's night is o'er;
464 Lord of glory, we adore Thee,
Christ of God ascended high;
216 Lord, we rejoice that Thou art gone
343 "Lord, what is man?" 'Tis Christ who died,
  81 O Lord, Thy glory we behold,
Though not with mortal eyes;
161 Son of God, with joy we view Thee
472 Th'atoning work is done,
The Victim's blood is shed
132 The person of the Christ,
Enfolding every grace,

Death of the Saints

333 Asleep through Jesus, blessèd sleep,
549 Lord, though Thy saints be laid to rest,
424 O Lord, how long ere we shall see

When earthly ties are rent
